MAN -VW 8.150 FAE 4x4 Feuerwehr *20.000 KM* HU 12-26

1st hand – volunteer German fire brigade.

Only 20,000 total kilometers, verifiable.

In regular use as a hose truck (SW1000) until 2025. Now sold only due to internal restructuring within the fire department.

TÜV inspection valid until December 2026 (inspected anew at 20,178 km, currently 20,350 km). No issues whatsoever.

Extremely robust MAN-VW all-wheel drive chassis. Permanent 4x4. Leaf spring suspension.

Single rear tires.

Wheelbase: 3,100 mm.

Original 7.49-ton 8.150 FAE model, complete with original registration documents and vehicle title, continuously registered as such until recently. Therefore, this fire truck can be driven directly with an old class 3 car driver’s license obtained before 1999.

Unladen weight according to registration: 5,505 kg with the installed box body (body exterior dimensions: 3.72 m long / 2.49 m wide / 1.61 m pure box height plus roof structures).

Based on experience, the bare chassis without the fire-fighting body weighs less than 4 tons.

Therefore, highly attractive as a platform for building a robust expedition vehicle that, when ready for travel with practical equipment, realistically remains under the 7.49 t gross vehicle weight, perhaps even leaving some payload reserve.

This example already features the newer 6-cylinder engine with 6,823 cc and 150 hp.

5-speed manual transmission with low-range and two locking differentials.

The special signaling system is still installed and functional.

Tires: 10.00 R 20 (16 PR), in good condition.

Two complete, good spare wheels are also available for this MAN-VW. Sale/transfer by arrangement.

Small jaw-type trailer hitch, 2,000 kg max. braked trailer load or 1,500 kg unbraked.

The MAN starts instantly and is ready to drive immediately.

Thanks to many years of storage in a garage, this is a quality truck from a time when vehicles were still built with care.
